I was trying a deal and it went through first try so I'm going to try and remember the pieces:

To Edm:
- J.Smith G- 84 OVR - 27 Yrs old/ 3 Yrs @ 4.5
-J.Blum D- 84 OVR- 27 Yrs old/ 1 YR @ 4.02 (Might have been Scandella, value about the same)
-J.Sallinen RW- 79 OVR- 25 Yrs old/1 Yr @ 1.26 RFA- 3 Yellow Star
-B.Bulmer LW- 77 OVR- 24 Yrs old/ 2 Yr @.9 RFA- 3 Yellow Star
-2017 1st Rd Pick

To Min:
-R. Lehner G- 85 OVR- 24 Yrs Old/ 2 Yr @ 2.6 4 Green Stars
-S. Ott C- 82 Ovr- 33 Yrs Old/ 2 Yr @ 2.3

Ott was basically cap dump (He's their 6th best centre)
Edm has another 4 Green Star rated goalie thats an 83 Ovr, and is 2 years younger than Lehner.

I don't know about this one. Fair in value, but if they can afford to give up Lehner because they have that other 4 star goalie, why do they need Smith? They could just keep using Lehner.

There seems to be only 9 or 10 of us left. Maybe 2 approvals should do it now?

Nah. Palat has a lot more value than Fasth imo. Palat has the attributes of a good first liner but has no physicality so his overall is lower. The first doesn't counter that.

I happen to think its a fair trade. Palat could be a first liner but Tampa already has Drouin and Stamkos so he's basically overshadowed by those other players. Plus, Tampa's best goalie is Lindback who's only 81 overall. (Same as Jones) I could trade out Lindback for Jones to make the trade more fair.

Due to Fasth's age it probably is. Glencross is what, 84?
I know you probably can't take his cap hit on, but just saying

Glencross for Fasth is fair.

I edited the trade:

Tampa Bay:

V.Fasth, Contract: $6.025, 3 Years Left, 85 Overall (33 Years Old) and a 2nd Round Pick

New York Islanders:

O.Palat, Contract: $4.280, 3 Years Left, 85 Overall (25 Years Old, 3 and a half Green Stars)

Keep in mind that Tampa needs a goalie. I took out the backup goalie and swapped the 1st for a 2nd to even out the trade.

Just my opinion but if i had to choose between those 2 packages, I take the one with Lehner quite easily.
