Excellent effort. After hearing Teuvo was a go for this game, I went ahead and plunked down $50 for us to win by at least 2 goals. Just figured the boys would be hyped up and ready to avenge last night.

Not just because of the two goals, but I've liked McCormick the last two games. Hopefully, people will get over his accident with Petr earlier this year.

Staal's a monster, a great night for Svech, Geekie is looking great now, excellent night for Ned and the D. Honestly, kudos to pretty much every single man. This is another one of those games that shows this team can go far.

Led by a two-goal night from the captain Jordan Staal, the Carolina Hurricanes kept pace atop the Central Division Tuesday night with a 5-1 win on the road over the Dallas Stars.
The Canes jumped ahead to a 3-0 lead early in the second period and they never let that slip away, as Staal’s two power-play tallies were joined early by a goal from Sebastian Aho, who had a three-point night. Staal and Andrei Svechnikov also had three-point games, with Staal adding an assist and Svechnikov assisting all three of the early goals.
Max McCormick and Nino Niederreiter added insurance goals in the third period, with McCormick scoring his second in as many games after spending most of the season on the taxi squad. For Dallas, Jason Robertson had the lone goal in the second period.
Alex Nedeljkovic was great once again between the pipes for Carolina, stopping 27 of 28 shots faced. Anton Khudobin took the loss in Dallas’ net, saving 24 shots. Special teams were also particularly strong for Carolina, as the Canes went 2 for 3 on the power play and squashed out three Dallas penalty kills.

I'm not going to lie. Tonight was not expected. After the last couple games having to play on a back to back night against a team fighting for their playoff lives.

And we put 5 past Dobby? Five?

Holy smokes

And we took 3 of 4 points in each series of this road trip? Against Tampa, Florida, and Dallas?

Holy shit this team is good

Both Geekie and Lorentz are really showing me that they can both be bottom-sixers when McGinn gets his raise from someone like, say, Edmonton. I hope that the Canes and Marty/Paquette agree on a couple of short bridge pacts to keep the bottom-6 elite and give them an opportunity for a big pay day after COVID.

Those guys have more offensive upside than you'd expect out of a typical 4th line. If they are regular 4th liners for us next year, we are gonna have 4 lines who can score.

Lol

The season finale with Tampa vs Florida is huge. If we assume they each get 3 points from that series (because that's how this usually works) then in our next 7 games we would need 8 points to clinch against Florida and 11 to clinch against Tampa.
