I am and thats true.

Although in true full disclosure I was an aviation tech on F18's in the Navy and jail was a night in the drunk tank.

It sounds better when you just use generalities

Small world. Back in the day I did my conscription as an aviation tech. BAe Hawk, MiG-21bis, the occasional Saab J-35 Draken. When I said hi there to the civvie sun and left the service, next year they bought Hornets to replace the old birds and I never got to lay my greasy paws on the new wonders... (But hot damn those Miggies were fast. That hot rod was all engine. The wings visibly looked like an afterthought and the cockpit something the engineers only rememberd last minute and had to carve it in there...) I admit I envy you. But I didn't get any jail time either so maybe the karma sorta balances out then lol

And this year we'll see an interesting €10bn purchase decision between (64?) F-35A, 50 Superhornet + 14 Growler, (64?) Rafale, 64 Gripen NG + 2 GlobalEye, and (64?) Typhoon. FiAF has grown something of a reputation for being meticulous to the point of pedantry so this competition likely has some eyes on it beyond it's modest size, but this could be just local hubris. Of the contestants, Dassault has been uncommonly keen to make the sale, they even ran their own testing winter regime up north in Lapland outside the competition schedule. Well, they should be a bit worried, just like Saab they have got no export success, and longevity and upgrades is going to be a key factor in the result. Both LM and Boeing have been promising not just assembly but at least mid tier maintenance locally.

So had I stayed the course, I could have been taking the ol' spanner to a bleeding edge Lightning II in a few. lol

If I was ever wondering how long it would take me to forget how good Teuvo Teravainen is, the answer is like 30 games or less.

That's exactly what I was screaming about to the people saying that Aho looked better with Necas than with Turbo. We have so many good players that we all forget how lethal and OP the Aho-Turbo combo is because he's unfortunately been out for so long. When that Twitter account put that graphic on man-games lost and how Carolina had the 2nd most point losses in the league due to injury, it's mostly coming from Turbo.

I hope Sugar Boo takes his slight demotion out of the spotlight ok now that TT is back. He and Tro have been a little ho hum in the scoring column as of late but, then again, NTN doesn't seem to get to play together as consistently as before. Nino still looks so fiery though.

Anyone else notice that Elvis (who played a good game) seemed really pissed after that OT goal? He kept yelling something over his shoulder as he left the ice. At first I thought maybe the refs had missed something, but the play was so clear cut that there was nothing to argue about.

Seems like maybe a rare case of an on-ice meltdown between a goalie and his team? On replay it looks like he fires off a comment at Roslovic immediately after the goal.

Yeah I noticed that as well. At first I thought it might have been for not recognizing the play developing but he reacted pretty well to Ned passing it. Upon second viewing I thing he’s pissed Roslovic just kinda waves his stick at Hamilton as he goes backhand.

lol I knew what you were doing and it still almost got me

And you know what, if the season ends with us winning some trophies and everyone else whining about the asterisks, bring it on. Will only make the tears that much tastier.
So they will engrave * onto the Cup then.

Guys Saku Koivu and his 2 secondary assists were going to lead Montreal all the way to the Cup but that mean ole Justin Williams had to maliciously carve his eye out, probably at the request of Gary Bettman.

Interestingly enough, I've never seen complaints from Devils fans about our Cup win, and they were arguably the best team we faced that year.

I noticed this and thought the same. I thought he was angry at Roslovics defense.
