Wait…Stanley was on the ice for 1 es goal against in 8 total playoff games, (the one where he blew up Perry…so well worth it), score 2 goals and an assist against my Montreal, and was a +6 in his first 8 playoff series and he was brutal?

Stanley makes much less than Forbort and he will soon be a better player. If you're going to get a big defenceman, why not get the biggest possible. He can make the same passes and shots that Forbort can make and Stanley wins most of his puck battles with his humongous size.

I would say he already was passing better then Forbort last year and definitely had a better shot. Forbort, Poolman, Beaulieu, Benn etc.. were all brutal at moving the puck. That really took away a lot from our transition and possession game. Thankfully the new look d-core has replaced those guys with players who are much better.
