I think team USA has a gold medal level defense but not offense or goaltending. Last years team was awesome.

Well, the first one was a pinball, the 2nd one was on Pasche, the 3rd was a gift from Zanetti but I gotta say these are two beautiful goal the US scored there. Very nice deflections. Also, can't really blame Pasche so far. I think Patenaude stops that 2nd US goal but that's about it. No chance on the other ones. That keep in by Hughes was very close though. Would have to review but it could have been worth a challenge.

University of Michigan is going to be insane again this year. Hughes could get 20+ goals. Not to mention Fantilli as a net front presence to knock in the rebounds he creates.

What a response. They won nearly every puck battle for a full 20 minutes. High-end skill plays in tough areas with traffic. Hradek was 100 percent right — it’s a good thing to play a tough, nasty game early in the tournament.
