Kiitoksia! Joel Määttä really centering the first line is conserning. I hope Kapanen and Kemell to find some chemistry. Helenius and Lambert as well.

Looking forward to the Germany-Austria game as a fight to avoid relegation, and even against the Czechs to see if either can squeak by there; but their matchups against Canada and Finland will likely be carnage, and hard to watch.

It's too bad Germany is missing their key players. This would be a really fun tournament with them. Interested to see how dynamic Finland's offense is. I like a bunch of their players. I'll go 5-0 Finland here.

5-0 Finland. Sorry Germnay, you're missing out on a very good team with some elites missing.

I'm wondering why Blomqvist is usually seen as the highest-rated Finnish goalie of the 2001/2002 group, but for the Finnish coach he's always #3?

Whats the deal with Määttä? His offensive stats looks horrible in USHL and NCAA. Is he some sort of defensive expert?

From EP: "It's Määttä's defensive ability that generates value. He's so hard on the puck, so unrelenting on defensive zone retrievals, and unafraid to engage physically when the moment calls for it." So I guess.

2-1 win for Germany.

I will miss Aatu Räty, probably Tuomaala and Nyman as well and some others. Not the strongest Finnish roster lately.
Well, well, I wish the guys a successful tournament. Tsemppiä pikkuleijonat!

There is absolutely some WTF player selections but it is what it is.
This U20 Team Finlnad is 6th best team behind Canada, USA, Russia, Sweden and Slovakia.
So lets see how the games will go.

Tough and tie game coming.
This should be easy win for Finland but this isn't easy win by any means.
Lets predict Finland 4 Germany 3 after overtime.

I think Järventie is out due to not feeling well, and Meriläinen is great so don't know why that is so depressing.
