And I hate to say "I told you so" to all the Stanley haters (you know who you are).

Dig up my old posts and you'll see I predicted about a PPG this season and WJC-20 consideration while "bust" and "not enough talent" were being thrown around ad nauseum.

I'm very excited to have a young sizable LHD with scoring talent. Players like this don't grow on trees... they use trees as sticks.

He’s on a similar track to Morin, which is actually fairly strong development. If you want to use Morin as a point of comparison, however, consider that we picked Morrissey just 2 spots after Morin was taken. Who would you rather have?

I'd rather have Freddie Gauthier... :sarcasm: :naughty:

World junior camps open this week for Canada & USA. It will be interesting to see how Skyler McKenzie performs without line mates Cody Glass and Keiffer Bellows. It's an opportunity to show if he can produce at a similar rate without them.

This will hurt Stanley's chances to make the team

Yea I didn't like Logan's chances of making this team and this doesn't help. He is having a good season though so that is a positive.

Pronman doesn't consider it a lock, but it would be weird for them to cut a player released by an NHL team. Not sure that's ever happened before.

Yeah Stanley's chances just went down by quite a bit. Pretty much a guarantee they take Bean, Mete and Clague at this point for LHD. Bean and Clague were locks and that left one spot. But Mete is pretty much a lock now too.

What's the schedule for WJC pre-tournament games? Camps are starting so I have to imagine there will be some games starting to happen too

The score has Stanley making the team as the 7th dman over Mahura. Will be interesting to see which direction they head. If he does make it as the 7th man its still unlikely he plays much.

It would be pretty crazy to to cut an NHL released player. The fact he was playing in the NHL makes it pretty likely he can handle a junior level tournament.

Making the team would be a miracle, considering where he's coming from in terms of development. I have my doubts.
