In a nutshell, who can challenge Djokovic? There are precious few realistic candidates:

Nadal, but what about the foot?
Berrettini, but what about the backhand?
Krygios, but what about the brain?
Alcaraz, but what about the inexperience?
Hurkacz, the way he is playing, he could be the guy
Tsitsipas, but what about the surface?
FAA, but what about the inconsistency?
Fritz/Opelika, but what are the chances?

Berrettini is probably the most likely from the list. He played Djokovic pretty tough in the final last year. That being said, I wouldn't bet against Djokovic winning again.

Hurkacz is my guess. He played some phenomenal grass court tennis last week.

Very bold...

I'll go Berrettini over Djokovic.

I want to say Nadal doesn't make the QF, but I'm having trouble finding someone to beat him in his section

I'll stand by it though...no QF for Nadal.

Winner of a possible Botic/Cilic match looks like the closest thing to a challenge in the whole quarter. Pretty much a dream draw for Rafa.

In the final warm ups for Wimbledon, Tsitsipas beats RBA in Mallorca and Fritz beats Cressy in Eastbourne, both in 7-6 third sets after losing the second set to their opponents.

This is shaping up to be another one of these Djokovic/Nadal classic finals matchups.

Even by my atrociously bad prediction standards, this is a new low. In the first match on court today, Davidovich Fokina beats Hurkacz 10-8 in the fifth. There goes my tournament pick, bye bye. Hurkacz came back from two sets down and at 7-5 in the fifth set breaker thought he had won the match, forgetting the new GS rule that deciding sets go to 10 point tie breakers. Davidovich Fokina, normally quite a poor closer, took advanatage of Hubert's mental lapse (no first serves in the rest of the way) and closed out the match.

Carlos needs to win a fourth set breaker to survive.

Down 1-3 in the breaker Alcaraz hits an utterly impossible backhand crosscourt for a winner on a point he had no right to win and cruises the rest of the way, So we are going to a fifth set.

The kid is a quick learner.
