Basically, everything is forced through the top 2 lines again. Karlsson adds some dynamics, but defense isn't really his forte. Line 3/4 have to play out of their minds or really high above their paygrade to make this work.

Nothing's a given until it is.
Bottom 6

until those 3 areas change ..... first round exits remain the ceiling for beloved Pens

I don't really think the goaltending is a real issue. There's only so much a goaltender can do if you want to play that loose. There simply is no/not enough depth/balance.

Piss off bloke donkey wanker, it was all Sullivan's fault! Wait until you daft cretins see this future HoFer play for a real team...in 2030.

Back on topic, yes if they can prevent a million losing streaks unlike last year, and the competition remains just as pathetic (minus Florida experiencing divine intervention at the end of the season).

Here’s the thing.

Our goaltending sucked and lost us specific games in multiple series while Mike Sullivan’s inability to coach had an impact as well.

It's amazing we came close to getting anywhere at all when goaltending, coaching, GMing, and depth all absolutely sucked.

And let's not forget the many injuries the top of the roster have sustained as well.

So amazing as to in fact be improbable.

I think our depth and GMing under Hextall was fine even last season outside of the Granlund deal and Carter extension. Even then the Granlund deal was the fireable offense.

A shame we wasted our injury luck on last season.

Watch the Pens be an actually good team this season (when healthy) but end up having all of our important players miss like 30-40 games a piece.

Depends on how Sullivan uses the new players and how good the goalies are.

Ceiling: 2nd in the Metro
Floor: 4th in the Metro
If things go really wrong: 6th in the Metro

I am getting midseason coaching change vibes though.
Stanley Cup win secured! :sarcasm:

That bodes very well for us.
