he isn't a player any cup contender would be interested in trading for at the deadline for a run based on his play this season imo. Maybe we can move him in the offseason

I'm curious if Stuart is moveable at all. Too much term and salary for his skill level to interest anyone IMO. Probably your only chance to move him was if he was a pending UFA and a team was looking for a 7-8 D-man for veteran playoff depth. Even then you are only looking at a late round pick in return.

It's not that simple, he has a modified NTC. Let's assume it's 15 teams......would 1 of those teams want him? Might have nothing to do with loyalty at all. Might just be half the league kniws how "good" Mark Stuart is.

And yes it would be awkward.

I don't doubt the first paragraph.

I wasn't saying it won't be "awkward" what I'm saying is that from a GM's perspective it shouldn't be, in fact the thought shouldn't even cross his mind.
