Bruins...2011

Regular season was great because of being the most physical team in the league.

games like Dallas (3 consecutive fights in the 1st 3 seconds) and the Montreal Brawl with Thomas v Price and Thornton/Campbell/Boychuk taking care of business at the end.

For a fan of physical hockey and fighting, they were loaded. Lucic, Thornton, Chara, McQuaid, Horton, Ference, Campbell, Boychuk

Then the entire 2011 playoffs run was a 25 game rollercoaster. Yet another 7 game epic with Montreal, great back and forth series with TB and my god that game 7...

and of course the 2011 Finals need no explanation. So much emotion and hate.

2011 was probably the craziest and most intense SCF we've had in a long time. Even if you weren't a Bruins or Canucks fan you could still feel the emotion

As a Tampa fan Easily 2004.

The Fact I live in Calgary only makes the end to that season more memorable.

I had Friends and Family jokingly tell me they were going to disown me.

But getting to watch the Lightning play live in a playoff game without having to be in Tampa was a fantastic experience. Luckily my friends did not disown me and kept a safe watch out for me even though they were devastated.

Hard to go against the first one, but 2014 was just so wild. 3-0 comeback, 3 game 7s on road, Sharks/Ducks/Hawks/Rags all great opponents, cup-clinching goal in double-OT at home...

Good times.

Beating the Bruins in 2014 was fun. But I think the 2010 run was more spectacular, beating the Pens and the Caps and all. I was less involved that year, I believe, so I'll stick with 2014.

I was just a bit too young for the glory days of the WHA Jets championships...
So I'll have to go with the 92-93 Teemu Rookie season.
HM to 2011-12 despite the not so good results just having the team back and an arena that treated every game like a playoff game was amazing.

08-09 was special. The progression those young pens took was pretty much storybook.

05-06 - worst team in the league 58 points, Crosby's rookie season
06-07 - one of the biggest jumps in history to 105 points, Malkin's rookie season
07-08 - take the next step but lose in the finals to Detroit
08-09 - take out Detroit in a rematch to win their first cup

Best pens team i've seen was 15-16 - utterly dominant after the coaching change.

The people with non team specific avatars and just listing a year with no info make this thread "interesting".
On that note, 1997!

JK, the bitter disappointment of 93, 94, 95, 96 made it pretty special(you could start at 1956 if your an old enough Red Wings fan.) 2008 felt much the same, it's a close second to me.

We were defending Eastern Conference Champions and we won the Presidents Trophy. We beat Pittsburgh and Washington in the playoffs.

You know what? 05/06 as a Leafs fan. At least, at the start of the year. Going into the season, they had three of my top 5 favourite players of all time. Sundin, of course. I was a huge fan of Belfour growing up because his mask was cool and he was a tremendous goalie, and I always liked Lindros because in my mind he was the perfect hockey player. Then everything came off the rails.

Other than that, 03/04. Going into the playoffs, that was the best roster the Leafs have had in my lifetime.

As a Red Wings fan, definitely 1997. Before that it felt like the Wings were destined to be a team that would never quite manage to win it all.

Some of the late 80s years were fun though too, watching Detroit coming out of the Dead Wings era. Prime Bob Probert. Yzerman back when he had one good knee and another pretty good knee.

Obviously ‘99 has the best result for the Stars, but the ‘15-‘16 Team was so much fun to watch with their high power offense.

Team Canada 1972.

If we can go down that road, then I will go with the 2013 WJC. I lived for that team, especially with the lockout it was our only source of hockey. So many fond memories of waking my roommates up at the crazy random hours.

Johnny Hockey couldn't be touched.

Leafs 1993, if it wasn’t for Kerry Fraser’s non call on Gretzky blatant high stick on Dougie Gilmour the Leafs would have been in the final :/

2000 and 2001 simply for how good those teams were

2012 was really special too, that team loved one another and destroying the Flyers who were supposed to sweep us and then knocking off the 1 seed Rags. Really sucked we had to run into those Kings and Quick but I'll never forget that run.

Flames fan: 2017.

I'm old enough to remember when we won the cup as a child and followed pretty dutifully since. Theory was my favourite player growing up and Iginla is a legend; one of the greatest to ever lace them up.
But in all honesty, this current squad is the one of the funnest dynamics I've ever seen in sports.
