We need a hit on whoever we pick in the first and the two early seconds.

We tend to do better in later rounds where talent is more scarce.

Gimme more homeruns in the early rounds, we could all live with more strikouts in the later rounds.

Would be amazing to get dahlin! Imagine having sergachev today! Playing next to Weber man it would be a nice set of first line, if we traded pacioretty 2 second round picks for Brayden point and drouin would of been amazing!

So, we didn't get Dahlin. Here's what that means: the 1 year, hail mary retool wherein we're gifted a franchise defenseman which convinces Tavares to join our lamentable lineup. We now have the 3rd overall pick, which is fantastic, and too many holes to be plugged in any way other than a rebuild. We need two top centers, and two top LD. It's time to select BPA, trade off our mature assets, and tank. This is a good start to our rebuild. Let's not turn it into bubble-team patchwork.

Sucks to lose Dahlin but see a great draft ahead for Habs. Likely will get better as chance they trade Pacioretty for mid-first round pick. I would rather do this than go out in first round every year or miss playoffs all together. Then draft the next Beaulieu or McCarron. Either Zadina or Boqvist will be a hell of a player.
