Didn't get to watch and after reading this I'm glad I didn't. That's a bummer of a start, does it mean anything? Absolutely, no way to know.

Typically prseason is a waste looking at young kids. But this time it’s really important because these kids are the future. Many of them have played together in the AHL so one would think there would have been more cohesion. But it’s still early but the ones that needed to make an impression didn’t do much.

Agreed on the "impossible to tell" front... not sure why we need to allocate resources on events where it's going to be "impossible to tell", though?
Lots of stuff is going on, so these silly games are not things that need to be focused on... except... obviously it would be better to do well in these games than get dummied in them, right? If you are getting beat up, maybe you didn't understand the entry criteria?
