The Czechs have the line blender out. Vrana (who has not been good) is on third line. Hertl has 2 new wingers. Blumel (who is top 5 in scoring) got moved to a different line despite his success. Kempny will be on our top pair.

On the other hand.. we have Pasta and Krejci on line 1 and have chosen to remain a 1 line team from what I can tell.

Latvia had a slow start but has come on strong.

I expect a very close game and it to be tense till the 3rd period ends (and maybe beyond).

A clean win would help both nations a LOT!

In our opening game against the US we generated quite a few chances, so that 1-4 scoreline can be a little misleading. Elvis let in a couple of softies as well.

6 of the last 7 periods have been very good for Team Latvia. We are sticking to our game plan, playing physically and working our asses off defensively.

Not sure what to expect at all, but if we do continue working as we did, it should be a very close game at even strength.

Completely agree... Latvia had that rough start and has been very good since. Czechs are going on 9 lousy periods and now a major line blender. We also dismantled our only good line (Blumel moved) and have NHLers with 0 points in 3 games plus a cabin fight... we are a shitshow!

This game isn't delayed. The fire (a minor incident actually) was in Helsinki, this is to be played in Tampere.

A more disturbing information: No David Pastrnak on the Czech official roster. Either they are going to add him literally last minute, or he is not going to play tonight.

Blumel is the magic that holds lines together. He has been on ice for almost all put goals lol.

Hertl better thank him!

That was fast. A pretty PP goal. Let's see how Latvia can respond.

4th line goal. Maybe gets Spacek going.. he's miscast as a 4th liner. Elvis probably should've had that one
