This team has been pretty quietly building a decent team. No fanfare, just working hard at Redskins Park. Hoping for the best for Alex Smith, from what I see in the media he is starting to impact the culture there and as someone above said, putting players under his wing. I know it's the Redskins, the expectations aren't high, but you got a brand new QB and a brand new RB. Don't be surprised if they win 9 games or more.

I waffled a bit on those two right out of the gate.

My thinking was AZ would be ready to hit the ground running with Johnson if possible and the Skins run-stopping D might not yet be up to mid-season, hopefully improved form. New QBs on both teams but the road guy is at a disadvantage.

For the Packers they start slow these days so gave the Skins that advantage plus home field. Also no more Jordy.

Could go either way. Also shaky with the Saints and Panthers picks

Haven't listened to 980 for more than 5 minutes total in the last 2 months. Every time I'm in the car and turn it on, it's either complaints about the Nats or B-mitch rattling off PG-13 cusswords about how much tougher he is than everyone else.

We were a 7 win team last season with all the drama and significant losses at key positions. The team is improved on paper and the QB appears to be energizing the room. I think that's worth another couple of wins.
