Really hope Stillman can recover his game and be of help to the Sabres down the stretch. Seems like a really good guy and valued in the dressing-room.

It's not a knock on d-man who come to Vancouver and get exposed. This team is a train-wreck defensively. It's almost impossible for any guy on the back-end to look good.

Now that Schenn and Stillman are gone, the complete makeover of the Canuck blueline is underway. There's almost chance Dermott is back; and the Canucks will be working feverishly to rid themselves of the last year of Myers deal. And still a possibility of a buy-out for OEL.

In fact the only guys who are likely to return are Hughes and Bear. When you're close to dead-last in GA, then change is inevitable.

So our fanbase is excited that management is making moves that finally show a semblance of competency?

Of course we are going to be excited. We have literally been deprived of this for 8 years. Let our fans celebrate these small wins.

Fair enough. And yes we should all be happy about winning or at least not overpaying in most of these small trades instead of the death by 1000 paper cuts we’re used to.

If you think about it, this is the best trade they’ve made. All the other ones you can make a criticism for. Can’t really criticize getting a decent prospect for a dogshit defense while clearing cap.
