An emotional support animal (ESA) is an animal that provides relief to individuals with "psychiatric disability through companionship." Emotional support animals may be any type of pet (not just, e.g., dogs), and are not recognized as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act.[1]

LEGITIMATE service dogs would be allowed in as they are not considered pets. I've already explained that the ADA does NOT recognize ESA's as legitimate service animals.

Will you please stop defending this? And as it says above ESA's have indeed "done its business" in public areas of ships & have bitten crew members. First of all, the publix article clearly stated this fact. had you bothered to read it:

And I'm tired of hearing about "Ben". Look, he's an adorable dog. And I also feel bad that Kirk had to deal with his son being seriously ill. But if he was that distraught over it, he should have taken a leave from his duties and stayed with the family. I'm sure someone like Danny O could have filled in nicely on Gameday & in the booth. These Instagram's he shares of Ben and having him on set during McAfee's kicking contest just tell me he is taking advantage of the system just like all the old ladies who pretend their poodles are ESA's do.
