29 yo RW/LW. 2 years left at 4,25m$ after this one.
Scored 39 goals in the last 88 games he played.

He can play on both PK and PP responsibly. Good veteran with Stanley cup experience.

what is your team best offer ?

39 goals in last 88 games yet only 5 in 26 this year. The way you worded it is very misleading.

2018-19: 13 goals in 82 games
2019-20: 24 goals in 68 games
2020-21: 28 goals in 52 games
2021-22: 5 goals in 26 games

Solid 20/25 goal scorer, having a down year.

It is not misleading, it is straight facts. If he had said Toffoli is a 35 goal scorer it could have been misleading.

Toffoli is still second in pts for the Habs, the team has simply been horrible. So yeah, down year but context matters a lot

Would you retain 50%?

Calgary would be all over that. Would only be 50% for two more seasons after this one. Would easily offer up a 1st + a good prospect. Don’t know the needs.

The context of the career outlier year last year matters. As pointed out. Good player though. Middle 6 forward.

reunion with Sutter? Calgary has been looking for a RW forever.

Since I don't think Flames will trade Pelletier, who's dominant in his rookie year in the AHL, maybe:

Zary + Poirier + Zadorov + Panthers 2nd

For

Toffoli

He prbly gets:

1st + good to solid B prospect

Or

2nd/3rd + an A tier prospect (not blue chip but a tier below) like 25-50 range league wide.

2nd or 3rd depends on where the prospect is in that range.

Flames aren't trading Zadorov. He's not perfect, but only signed for this year and hits like a truck. The Flames will require him for a playoff run.

Habs would be smart to retain 50% and gain as much assets as possible.

1st + Valimaki + forward prospect for a 50% retained Toffoli

Forward prospect is any one not named Pelletier or Zary
The Flames don't do that. I don't think Toffoli brings back much more than a 1st + B prospect.

Could Tyler Toffoli be a fit with the Calgary Flames?

Montreal have no reason to trade Toffoli if he is traded it's unlikely they retain any salary.

Zuccarello only got conditional 2nd and 3rd in 2018-2019 and he was 15th in points between 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 among RW and 12th in assists.

Toffoli is a better goal scorer so I think we can expect low 1st and a 2nd or a B prospect.

at 50% for two years though?

The Flames are not giving up a 1st and Valimaki. I don't see Valimaki on the table. Despite his troubles and injury issues, the Flames have put a lot of effort into developing him, and he is doing very well in the AHL this year.
