I thought he had a place in Florida where he was planning on retiring?
When it wasn't looking like he'd play last year, he and his wife went to Florida to 'test' retirement life out. He didn't care for it, and decided to try and make a comeback. Not sure if he intends on retiring there, or has a place already, but the story last year was he went over to do a trial run at it.

The whole idea is flawed anyway as long as McGinn is playing well.

Edit: I specifically picked McGinn because of his familiarity with Duchene from Colorado and his playing style being ideal for the post-season.

I honestly thought he'd be a great fit. He even played for the '67s

We need to get Duchene settled in, and our injured guys back on the roster. Let the team play a dozen or so games with a full team, and then start thinking about options. Chances are by then, one of the kids in Belleville will be ready to fill the holes.

Hearing good things on twitter about White's game this season, is it possible we may not even need to go out and get a forward at this rate?

I don't know. I'd rather he spend the year in the AHL, unless he really dominates or the injuries get even worst. Dido is doing ok, Paul looked ok. I'd stay status quo.

He should be on the same tier as guys like Barzal, Boeser, and Connor. Hopefully he can have that type of impact, LOL.

I'm pretty sure he's in Belleville right now because they wanted him to get settled in after his injury and get his game back up to speed.

I think he was starting the year in Ottawa if he didn't get injured and if not he was most likely the first callup. Boucher talked about him in camp saying that he was a player you can trust, he's a Boucher type player from top to bottom. He's got some offensive skills as well and he's not afraid to play physical. I see him as a MacArthur replacement whenever he gets more comfortable out there.

Before Dorion makes a move I'm sure they'll give White a shot. They may wait until DiDomenico slows down a bit to give a shot though now that he's shown some good things lately.

Well. More than one piece. Ideally

Nope, only one roster spot available that's up for grabs when healthy. Guys like White/Paul/Dido might fill it but if we make a trade that's what it's for.

Any other moves would be upgrades on NHL regulars which I don't think we'll see more of in season after Duchene/Turris. Other deals like that will probably happen in the summer.

He doesn't have their offensive talent.
But do they have his defensive composure and 200 foot smart?

If you play him with Hoffman and Duchene let's say.. That's a possible deadly line. White and Duchene are strong around the net, White and Duchene are strong along the board. Hoffman has the Deadly shot. They all are good passer. All 3 are strong fast skater.

I very like those line.

White is the type of guy you let simmer in the AHL for a full season or two before calling him up. Let him be confident with his offensive game in the pro level before you call him up here and turn him into a bottom 6 shutown specialist.

Don't think White needs that much time. A guy like White coming out of the college program seems pretty mature and less raw

Aside from boeser. Probably. Barzal is the better player through and through.

I think that's too high in the lineup for white at this point

Behind you, look out
I wish we could find a perfect partner for Karlsson. Someone his age that compliments his style.
It's a dream but,
OEL
Jacob Slavin
Ryan McDonagh
Calvin Da Haan
Oskar Klefbom.

Man, if the Sens could land one of them, then have Chabot and Ceci on the second pairing... I would compare that top 4 to Nashvilles.

Nick Paul already down. Vouchers dislike for youngster is like nothing over ever seen before.
Its a bit surprising , in that it seemed they wanted to get a look at him.. I have no way of knowing, but I get the feeling.. he is not Boucher's cup of tea as a player. That could be way off base. They also sent Harpur back down... I guess with Boro back they have 7 healthy D so that makes some sense. IMO Paul's ice time and opportunity could not tell them much about how ready he is for full time duty... but maybe they were looking at very specific things as well. It was a nice perk to get to go with the big team to Sweden though.

He seems to be scoring at .5 points per game. Not bad for a rookie but not great.

Same here. We had him with Methot, but maybe some upcoming UFA would work as a rental or we can go after Methot again if Dallas misses the playoffs.

Chara, Enstrom, Hamhuis, Sbisa as rentals?
