Petry is a cancer on the ice, how do you think he acts in the locker room? He's playing like someone who doesn't care about his value, but who wants to be traded ASAP. He's not going to get better, he's only going to get worst.

Maybe he is just playing bad because he is 34 years old and declining from what was already just second pairing offensive specialist?

The penality he got at the end wasn't a IDGAF one, more like a I can't keep up with the play anymore one.

His bad play isn't caused by ageing. It's all low efforts/mental errors and while he blamed Ducharme's system for it, his wife (and kids) staying in the States while she is pregnant is probably the real reason for it. With probably some Cup finalist to bottom of the standings on top, but he started the season badly so I think it's mostly the wife and kids.

Just 1- year ago large portions of the fanbase were mentioning Petry’s name w Norris Trophy, and now he’s “toxic”, “a cancer”?

Petry’s play is a reflection of not having 2-significant components of this team Price + Weber + the whole family being away aspect

Semi agree with this. Petry defensive abilities have been brutal. Also he's been leading the league in turnovers and penalties for 2-3 years now. He had a bypass because he was good during PP. But without the PP he's beyond useless to us. But we should still have traded him.

Right now I would ltir Petry's ass, go back to your family, get your head strait and get back to form. We won't trade him for scraps so better get back to form and either help the team win or get good players in return.

same but you gotta give something , atleast we could try Romanov for free. He's been playing better he deserves to get his chance on the powerplay.
