Pirri put up 22 goals and 2 assists a few years back. He can obviously pot the puck, but there's clearly holes in his game, and not just on the defensive side of things. I'm as shocked as anyone he was nabbed for a 6th, but I knew he wouldn't get the 2nd+ price some people were discussing (namely, that rumor).

Pirri is really not that good a player and has run himself out of 2 locker rooms at 24 years old. Glad the Devils stayed away.

Only thing I can think is that they didn't want to send him to an Eastern conference team.

I get the feeling that teams don't want to give Shero what he's asking for and Shero rather keep certain guys instead of giving them up for more 3rds or 4ths. I'm fine with that logic if he can resign those guys before July 1st.
