He's 24 and a piece they should be building around.

A number one center are hard to come by, sure they can get a package for him but could they ever replace him?

Well that would make some sense if they can get back an equal or better younger center, but that could be tough to do.

Although with Eichel and the Buffalo situation maybe something could be worked out.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't think it was that much of a steal.

Yzerman traded the only guy on his team that has shown he can drive offense for a guy who has only really played a support role and a 1st. Vrana probably asks for similar money to Mantha this offseason too. Then takes on Panik's awful contract for a 2nd rounder on top of it.

That Mantha-Backstrom-Oshie line looks significantly scarier than with Vrana, IMO.
