TOR fans: Is Bozak a legit #2C on a contender?
Would love to add him at reasonable price say a 2nd.

Is Leafs fans the most biased? Your right about passing Edmontoners...
Ellis >>> JVR when it comes to trade value.

See my original point. Nashville is sitting pretty with Josi, Ekholm and Ellis locked up for the next three years at a combined 10.25 million cap hit. The upgrade from Colin Wilson to JVR on the 2nd line LW is not worth giving that up. The proposed trade doesn't really do anything to improve the Preds and I would argue it makes them worse since they don't have someone capable of filling the hole on the 2nd pair.
He's probably not a #2 on a contender, he'd be a really good #3 and he can definitely fill in up the depth chart when needed. A 2nd is probably around his value.
And he's absolute money on the breakaway.
I quite like Ellis but I don't think he's the defeceman the Leafs need.
Colin wilson is a solid 30-35 pt 3rd liner miscast as a top 6 forward.
JVR would be a huge boost to the 2nd line, or he could play on the 1st and one of neal/forsberg can move to the 2nd.
Nashville is likely to lose one of Ellis or Ekholm, so id rather the leafs just wait and see what the price is next year

I like how your last three posts are just to troll Leafs fans.
Oh good the daily dosage of "Our top 4 defenceman has wayyyy more value than JVR"
Pass Ellis isn't what we need, we can wait for a better opportunity to represent itself.

He's a second line wing in Nashville
As of this weekend, we no longer have virtually no defensive prospects that can eventually step up and make the NHL, so there's that. We continue, however, to have no defensive prospects whatsoever that can step up and make the NHL next year. We therefore cannot risk moving Ellis.
And for anyone saying "it's Ekholm or Ellis" - Josi, Weber, Ellis, Ekholm, Forsberg, Johansen, Neal, and whatever other forward we decide has merit (probably Smith, or if we trade for or sign someone better it'd be that guy). Keeping the top-4 together is much more important to this team than the various depth forwards we have.
Only thing is your original point demanded the Leafs add to the deal. No they don't. You just reject the offer because of need and cost.
Leafs say no
Undersized PP specialist.
Because Malkin plays 2nd line on Pittsburgh, does that make him a 2nd line centre?
Not saying that Malkin=JVR, but you can't say just because you have someone better makes him in the 2nd tier.
JVR could probably play 1st line on 15 teams in the league.
