It’s going to be interesting to see how our forwards will have any trouble getting to the net with Vancouver adding all the size this year on the backend

They finally realized size matters in the playoffs and addressed that need

Can't win in Vancouver. It's like Buffalo east for the boys.

I'd start Samsonov. He beat them in November. Give Jones his old team Seattle on Sunday.
Never ever, never ever, start Samsonov again, never ever!
He went through waivers once, doesn't that say something that our #1 goalie is not wanted by any of the 31 teams.
If we put Reaves on waivers no one would take him either. So how do we get to the point that we signed 2 guys in off season that nobody in the league wanted, and paid a premium.
Woll is on the trip. If he is not ready why would you take a guy rehabbing on a this swing trip, or, you expect Jones to play because you think Samsonov will have another meltdown

You never know. Vancouver will be under a lot of pressure to win this game.

How is there any pressure on Vancouver?

Win or lose they are comfortably winning their division. We on the other hand are still a risk of missing playoffs.

Why would there be more pressure on Vancouver?

Pressure will be in the air…..Every non Leafs fan in BC hates the Leafs and losing to them during this little skid would be slap in the face.

Hopefully they'll come out flying. Not sure what team we'll get tonight.

If they have any kind of lead maybe they'll actually hold it for once.... until 60 minutes is over.

Matthews is probably getting one at least. It's a good bet at this point.

Because the hatred of the Leafs is so strong out there that there is always pressure to beat Toronto. I expect that it is even more amped up today because there is an expectation that they will not just beat the Leafs, but steamroll them given that Vancouver is first overall in the league and has a first line that is tearing up every other team in the league. I could see the Leafs winning this game and then losing in Seattle.

Need a fast forecheck and a wave forecheck

One pressure, 2nd circles in to outlet 3rd rotates with first all on body

Can force them to make plays inside their blueline thats one spot they can get in trouble with

Nothing better in hockey than a dump and chase with a relentless forecheck. Not sure the Leafs are fast enough
