Bozon only gets the signing bonus money. He wouldn't get any of the money from the contract.
The point was just that he's under contract with the Habs, so if the Habs / Molson want to pay for the medical care, the family accomodation (flight, hotel...), there shouldn't be any problem with the League, unlike if that happened with an NCAA player.
Just being stuck in a hospital bed for two weeks without moving will have a significant impact on his muscles. They atrophy a lot quicker than you think. Since he's still young and a high-level athlete, hopefully he can recover faster than average.
That could slow his development a bit but that shouldn't prevent him to be a professionnal hockey player. Galchenyuk missed almost all his draft year. And though he was able to keep fit / train in gym for the most part obviously, he was probably forbidden to move much for several weeks after his knee surgery...
It's really a "boom or bust" situation with meningitis. If his brain isn't permanently altered crossfing), he will be able to recover and do whatever he wants of his life. Otherwise, his whole life will be affected, and his family's life too...
