The first chest protector isn't from his Junior years. It looks like a heaton helite 6 version so it was about the time he had these pads

Two things that come to mind:

Garry Galley and his cutoff socks. Not sure if it was unique to him, but he cut the stirrups off, more comfortable I guess.

I’m surprised this thread didn’t ’last’
I’ve seen some crazy stuff at the ducks team gear sale, particularly the skates. There’s so many pieces glued/attached to skates you can’t tell what model they are
