Is it surprising to anyone else how McDonagh has developed? He was considered a top D prospect at one time, but was he ever a huge standout in Wisconsin? I seem to remember Staal being a damn beast in Juniors. I know it's hard to compare 2 leagues. I just never thought people watched McDonagh in college and thought "future elite D-man".
