I think it's time that there is a dedicated thread for one of the poster-children of everything that's wrong with this team.

Scuderi was a turnstile during last year's playoff run.. and this season he's even worse.

-5 in his past 15 games with a whopping 5 hits

He routinely "plays goalie" instead of defense, flubs the most basic of passes, and is a turnover machine.

Let's hear it for Rob Scuderi - $3.8M well spent and I'm looking forward to the next 2 years at $3.8M.

I just want to say that Scuderi seems like a great person, but unfortunately- he is really bad at hockey and is holding this team back. He is a high paid PK specialist at this point.

If he wasn't "The Piece" and just some outcast they picked up off waivers, the media would be freaking out and claiming that he barely looks like an NHL caliber d-mean.

And honestly, just **** off with your quotes at the end of every loss that you had a hand in. Shower up and just leave like everyone else.

The only way the media would freak like that is if his name was Simon Despres.

On other sites I still read comments defending this abysmal player. :help:

This thread has potential. IMO, he is worse than Adams right now. It genuinely ticks me off watching him on the ice, flubbing pass after pass.

My favourite part of his game is when he finds the puck on his stick in the offensive zone with an open lane. He always finds a way to miss the net or get the shot blocked, despite the fact that he has no velocity on his shot. And that part of his game might be better than his defensive game.

What is there to discuss? He's garbage. He actually was playing decent (average) w/ Despres and now looks like hot garbage.

What is left to discuss. Shero's worst signing.

Why complain. He's MJ's anchor and shut down D. This organization will keep him here for two more years. They see something great in him that 99.9% of pens fans don't see.

to think that this organization drafted Muzzin, Goligoski, Morrow, Despres, Maatta, Pouliot, Letang, Harrington, and there are others I'm missing through the years and we end up with Robbie Scuderi and Benny Lovejoy on the team...

For me, at least the Craig Adams thread had shades of funny. This thread is just depressing, it doesn't even feel better to vent, because of this.

My favorite is how teams completely sell out and don't even bother trying to cover him in the offensive zone because they know he will not do anything when he has the puck. It's like they know if they can crowd Crosby into the boards he will drop it back to Scuderi and at that point their work is done.

Shero's last gift to us.
What a horrible contract and totally unnecessary with the D we had in the pipeline.

I agree. It's so tiresome to see him out there in offensive situations. He should absolutely NEVER be on the ice on an offensive zone face off.

"It was a mistake to let Scuderi go on my part," Shero said, after he signed Scuderi to a four year, $13.5 million contract hours into free agency.
