I am a D level beer league player at best. I can honestly say that playing a full season with mcdavid I could be concussed in my first shift and score zero points.

I am a neighborhood street hockey level player at best. I can honestly say I would turn down the opportunity to play with McDavid in the NHL as I'd rather not risk getting concussed or killed. So I'd score 0 too.

Assists still count if you dish it to mcdavid and jump right back on the bench while he dangles through everybody and snipes it

Slavin and Pesce are going to regress once the league "adjusts" to them

also, I played 22 imaginary games in my driveway, and if I played wing with McDavid I'm pretty sure I could score 42 points in an 82 game season, as long as the goalie in every game continues to be my 11-year-old neighbor kid.

I literally cannot skate and I would get disqualified from an NHL game for refusing to put on skates or go out onto the ice

There we go, now we're just hanging out big money contacts to "literal nobodies" in both Slavin and Peesh

Slavin isn't a top 30 defensive defenseman in the league, never mind top 30 overall.

runaway hype because there's no rival fans to keep them in check, because nobody cares about those teams

Good players don't play on bad teams. That's just science. If (insert name here) was so good then why hasn't he been to the Playoffs? Kinda makes you think.

Or how about (on Slavin being top-pairing or not):

"He doesn't drive offense like Brent Burns. good but not elite"

Slavin can't be good... because... he doesn't drive offense like Brett Burns.

My forehead is bruised at this point.

I would have thought Pat Maroon just had a career year because of McDavid, but really it was the other way around. Who knew? Aho certainly couldn't improve on Maroon's 42 points if he had to play with McDavid.

I was about to say...

BREAKING NEWS: Aho isn't a top six player because Patrick Maroon has too much chemistry with McDavid to break them up :amazed: Apparently they haven't heard of the Chad LaRose experiment :help:

Aho is just a small offensive winger, he wouldn't contribute much there anyway. Probably wouldn't even make the starting lineup, honestly.

Obvious really. Of the Finland's 2016 WJC line, only some second rate teams have found room for Aho and that Laine guy, but the fully comparable Puljujarvi hasn't found himself out of the popcorn box at the Oilers, when he could even made to the roster. #stacked
