Q did not like Panik? That is why he played him so much?

It's pretty obvious Q doesn't like Panik. Guy was one of the leading scorers in the NHL to start the season and he still got dropped to the 4th line. And with good reason, Panik lacks the hockey IQ to be anywhere near our top 6.

Are you serious or joking? You mean Q's most trusted and needing to preform defensive line besides Kruger.. and Panik's still given PP time too.

Did Q not like Andrew Shaw to you as well, because he moved around into those roles too when it fit well.

He's not playing with Desjardins and TooToo...

The thing with Weise/Flash though is Panik hadn't gotten into a groove of Q playing him regularly and liking him back then until right around/after the deadline. Had they felt Panik was someone they were comfortable with it may of changed their desire to add in that trade.

Chicago 'Burbs
Sharp has been declining for a few years now in all facets of game

He's still serviceable so long as the concussions don't completely take their toll on him this season. He had 55 points last year.

If he would come back on like a 1yr/1.5m deal with bonuses maybe, like Campbell, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I still miss the Ladd-Bolland-Havlat "3rd Line"
It was Kruger-Frolik on steroids

Two more goals for Saad last night

Man do I miss having him on Hawks

I loved Saader, but I felt pretty sour about how he left. The whole "I want to be in Chicago" bit and then a few days later he's headed to Columbus. At this point I'm totally fine with him being gone.

The only guy I want back is Sharpie once that contract is up. Come on home buddy...

you do understand that he, saad was traded right??

re sharp, i can come up with one integral reason not to have him back, but i will not go there. what i would say, i think his career may be over. with his latest, possible upper body injury, (concussion) i think he may want to hang up his skates.

i am SO glad you brought his UP!!!!

i will admit that i was wrong in thinking that it was Car or Clb that the hawks were talking to, in actuality it was Arz.

this is 2015, 2016 T+K will start their 10.5 contract. per 2nd link

again this is the result of a domino effect that did not happen and all b/c the hawks decided to raise the draft pick rtn from Arz. however lets look at the possible timeline of this. fa's were saad, odyua, kruger, vermette , richardson. it was already understood that richardson and vermetter were going to walk. per link below.
"Chicago isn't looking for anything but a draft pick or draft picks in return, and maybe Arizona needs the help to get up to the floor of the salary cap as early as next season. There's an opportunity for one GM to help another guy, but in Bryan Bickell you're also getting a decent player," said Dreger."

now the negotiations broke down.... the hawks came back and asked for a higher draft pick in rtn ...... now you will have to take the leap of faith here.

http://www.hngn.com/articles/103391...ian-bickell-trade-with-chicago-blackhawks.htm
The Blackhawks unsuccessfully attempted to trade Bickell prior to the 2015–16 NHL season.
per his profile.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryan_Bickell

now for saad trade.
"Apparently, Saad was asking for quite the perk. Initial reports say Saad wanted a deal worth $6.5 million over 6 years from the Blackhawks who are already under cap constraints after signing Kane and Toews to big deals last year."
per

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/06/chicago-blackhawks-trade-brandon-saad-to-columbus-blue-jackets

the deal break down is as follow.

to Cbj ~ saad and his 6.5 salary, alex broadhurst, michael paliotta,

to chi ~ artem anisimov, narko dano, jeremy morin, corey tropp and the 4th rnd pick.....

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/06/chicago-blackhawks-trade-brandon-saad-to-columbus-blue-jackets

now aa got a raise almost immediately after of
"Artem Anisimov signs 5-year, $22.75 million contract extension with Blackhawks"
per

http://www.secondcityhockey.com/201...isimov-contract-extension-blackhawks-nhl-2015

dano salary - of 925,000

the other players are nothing but filler.

now this was the last yr the hawks went to the SC, in addition this then no consistent winger for toews expect for sharp.

total salary is more for the hawks rtn, individually, however for the cap purpose, a saving of +/- 1 mil

how much is a SC winner is worth for the hawks owners???
