Okay guys lets say all the picks Oilers want out of the top 10 are gone. Who would you take out of the 11-20? (I know everyone will most likely say Kotkaniemi but lets say he was never in the draft)

Hayton or Smith. Possibly Veleno, but don't know much about him.

Not overly interested in a winger(Farabee) and I don't think there's any other defenseman close to being worth taking there(really not a fan of Wilde's hockey sense).

To me, pick the player purely on upside and that means in our range - "Hughes, Boqvist, Kotkaniemi, Smith"

If all those options are off the board I look pretty hard at Farabee, Smith, and Kupari. Kupari has the most upside IMO.

How can all of the players we want in the top 10 be gone when we pick tenth?

Just say no to Veleno

He's tough to get a read on.

Looks a lot like RNH minus the shot. Biggest concern for me is that he seems to over-handle the puck and run into turnovers quite a bit in a league with near infinite time and space. His hockey sense is considered a plus on most sites though, oddly enough.

So pretty much after Ty Smith, the other defenceman aren't as high in upside

I havent seen much of Wilde but have heard he has questionable IQ, which is why he's ranked where he is. So you could be getting a guy who's all tools and no tool box with him. For Mcisaac he doesnt have the offensive upside of Smith. If your looking for a solid 2 way dman he's a good bet to make though. Could see him going higher then he's ranked.

See to me I see a less skilled Sam Gagner. Not a player I waste a high pick on with guys like Farabee, Smith, Kupari on the board. Id start looking at him around the 25th pick.

Another guy I would take a flyer on in the later rounds in Keenan Macisaac. Looked good from the games I seen with the Titan. I dunno where he's ranked but could we get him with say our 6th?

His hockey sense isn't as high based on what I've read and seen

Was really hard to get a read on at the mem cup...he hardly touched the ice. The pairings of Galipeau/Dobson and Ivan/Holwell hardly left the ice. Ivan had a pretty good showing at the tournament defensively, but wasn’t nearly as good a puck mover as those other 3.

Drury, assuming a RHD was chosen in the first round, otherwise, Bernard-Docker.

He played more in the QMJHL final, which is where I got to watch him.

I am hoping Addison falls that low but I'd say Drury
