Call Lehner!

Edit: He declined

Maybe Pekka Lindmark can be reserve goalie in the Arena? Or just I-M-AAAAAAAA-GINE our new super heroes might be Lars Johansson, Adrian Kempe and Sick-A-Machine-Bad.

READ: Noone wants to be backup to Henry Lumquest ;)

Yikes both Lehner and Markström decline. Wether or not there will be a real chance for Sweden now rests on Lundqvist.

Like it or not you need a real #1 goalie.

I’ll try to imagine it’s the 2012 version of Fasth to keep my hopes up :(. If he even wants to play that is.

Atleast the current version is better than Hellberg.

Two good centers, good defense atleast that’s promising. There’s a need for an edge on offense. Right now I think Pettersson is the best bet if we exclude possible additions after the first round.

Hank's been injured all year. It would not be wise for him to play injured at this tournament. Besides, this is where he got injured initially. Willy Nylander jumped on him in the celebration, and that injured him.

I do agree that there's a chance that Fast might return from injury, but there's been no update on the seriousness of the groin injury, that I can remember. The only comment that I can remember is that he was likely done for the NHL season. They didn't release a timetable when he got injured.

Where he got injured shouldn’t matter players run as big of a risk of getting injured there as they do in the NHL. He was injured before the Nylander jump he wasn’t written in as the starting goalie for the final until like an hour before the game.

This list makes me feel better about every Finn saying no. You have so much more players in the NHL.

Can someone tell me what this game Lias was playing in is? I assume just an exhibition pretournament for Worlds?

Hey dude, that was a test match vs. Team Denmark in Rungsted this evening. I've been there and saw Lias Anderson playing for the first time, and wow, is he a mature player already! He'll be fun to watch in Copenhagen.
A natural leader who sees the ice well, creates a lot of chances, and at the same time has a sound defensive game. That wrap-around try was brilliant, and it wasn't the only good offensive scene he had.
In the second period he also had a little hustle with Denmark's top goal getter Nicklas Jensen who scored the only Danish goal with a blistering slap shot in the third period.

Sweden's B team dominated the game over long stretches against the Danes, which played with only 8-9 players who'll make the final roster. Only the Jokerit quartet, and Nicholas B. Jensen were in acceptable WHC form, while some of the defenders and most players from the Danish domestic league filling the other roster spots weren't up to the task. They clearly need their reinforcements - F.Nielsen, M.Christensen, F.Storm, N.Hardt, J.'Z' Jensen, P.Bjørkstrand, P.Larsen, M.Lauridsen and of course as many NHL guys as possible.
