Waiting is fine...but then why scratch Hall for two games out of nowhere if we are playing the waiting game? Why not scratch him a week ago, a month ago, etc? You scratch a guy when a deal is imminent. Dragging this beyond Wednesday begs the question of why he was scratched to begin with, and also makes it seem like Ray had no plan.

Some chatter now that a deal is being finalized with Arizona...let's hope so.

for all we know a team that he was going to be traded to got cold feet at the last min. even if he gets traded today it was the right move to hold him out the last two games

My guess is
  • 1st (top 10 protected)
  • Conditional 1st (Hall re-signs, 2nd if not)
  • Bahl
  • Raanta
edit: Well that was fun for a second, if no prospects replace Bahl with Christian Fischer

Clearly Hall not willing to negotiate an extension is what is driving down the price...

Definitely, he's a pure rental.

Also, the fear of his next contract when he's played in only 77% of his games and outside of one anamoly, he's roughly a 70 point, 20 goal scorer heading into the later years of an injury filled career. Just look at Zach Parise...and he was extremely healthy leading up to his injury.

The fair rental price is probably a 1st, B tier prospect and some Gatorade bottles.
