Eh, if it's not a Hall for Byram type deal you would think someone on the Av's current roster would be included...yet no late scratches from the AVs. My bet is Arizona or Florida

Yeah given that nobody in the AHL or NHL is scratched and from the sounds of it the Avs don't seem to be in anticipation of anything if you believe Dater, there is a chance that Shero was using this game and time in Denver to gauge whether Sakic is willing to up the ante or not.
Could be that Sakic was not inclined to increase his offer and thats why Shero pulled the trigger on an offer from someone like Arizona.
Thats what I hope atleast...
