Why not just bring Barbershev back? He's a better player than Hayes even if Barber gets the same raise.

This seems like a much better bet for St. Louis than Johansen was for Colorado.

I get that Torts and Hayes didnt get along, but seems kind of like a pointless deal for Philly. Culture change I guess.

Still feels anti climatic though lol

That is absolutely GARBAGE return for sending a team Kevin Hayes and paying him $3.57m a year for 3 years. Hayes as a FA is getting more than a 3 yr/$11m contract.

Flyers continue to eat $3.57m a year for the next 3 years. Let a team get Hayes at a discount to what he'd command as a UFA and they get a 6th round pick out of it.

Briere looks like he just showed its open season on taking advantage of him.

not a bad return for St. Louis for only a 6th. Seems teams aren't super confident dabbling in free agents for centers this year so far.
