Win it for Ed
Torts doesn't like Hayes because he smokes weed I'm pretty sure. He's a very likable dude. Torts is a dick.
Im going to believe this is the reason why going forward.

Hayes is confirmed a big weed guy and I can totally see Torts being a conservative ass hat about his players using weed.Im going to believe this is the reason why going forward.
Taylor Hall was just traded at 50% retention for pretty much nothing. Johansen was traded at 50% for literally nothing.
So What were you expecting? The problem isn’t Briere. It’s your expectations that don’t match reality
Boston didn’t retain on Hall.Taylor Hall was just traded at 50% retention for pretty much nothing. Johansen was traded at 50% for literally nothing.

Hey look at the bright side the Flyers aren’t taking on an extra year of Krug’s contract and the Flyers keep Sanheim in their back pocket for another move if needed. That is absolutely GARBAGE return for sending a team Kevin Hayes and paying him $3.57m a year for 3 years. Hayes as a FA is getting more than a 3 yr/$11m contract.
Flyers continue to eat $3.57m a year for the next 3 years. Let a team get Hayes at a discount to what he'd command as a UFA and they get a 6th round pick out of it.
Briere looks like he just showed its open season on taking advantage of him.
Making Torts happy? Maybe? Idk.I don't understand this at all for Philly. A 6th round pick is very unlikely to develop into a quality NHLer, so Hayes is basically free. Now the Flyers have $3.5 million on the books, and perhaps more importantly, a retained salary slot locked up for the next 3 years. It's not like they were in cap hell and were desperate to shave half of the contract. What is the gain here for Philly?
Also Hayes > Hall IMOBoston didn’t retain on Hall.
Johansen has two years remaining. Not 3.

Holy shit did we get absolutely railed in a sun dress
In typical Flyers fashion, one year after the generational talent is available to teams that go full tank. What a steal for St.Louis.
Brace yousrelves Flyers fans, you're team is going full Chicago tank
Was thinking a team that had multiple 2nds in next few drafts for Hayes at 50%.
I get his defense is bad but he still has some offense in him no?
Odd move by Briere here IMO
That is the case with every destination Trots goes to. Some players love him but a lot hate him but coexisting with a coach or the lack of falls on the coach.Hayes is one of a handful of players Tortorella apparently cannot coexist with, so he had to go at any cost. DeAngelo is another, there's speculation that Sanheim might be as well, but Sanheim has substantially more talent, so there should be value in that deal, at least.
Yeah well, only one team gets to have him and the others will continue to suffer. You don't recover a tank like that in one off season. In typical Flyers fashion, one year after the generational talent is available to teams that go full tank.
