Time to fly to Dallas and pimp slap some sense into a certain GM

Smart move. Especially if Holtby sounds like he won’t be 100% recovered this season. Our AHL guys won’t cut it and Otter needs some rest with the heavy schedule

Looks to me like they want to give Oettinger a break at some point and they're not comfortable with Scheel playing and Holtby looking like still needs time

Trading for a guy who allows 3 goals a game is so damned stupid.

I didn't realize Wedgewood had positive stats since going back to Arizona this year so I am now coming off my ledge and embracing the 5th goalie

Obviously Holtby is out long term for this move to be made, hard to be mad with it. You need two capable goalies and clearly Scheel isn't that.

I don’t mind it. He had good numbers on a bad team and his cap hit is lower than many options. This adds stability with Holtby likely out for a while. They could also put Holtby on LTIR and have some more flexibility to add.

I also mentioned on the main board, I think Scheel helps in Cedar Park and that’s good for those guys developing.
