Always Delivers
Im hoping for more than that considering Eysimmont was really good for usI'd offer like - a 5th for Namestnikov if SJS ain't keeping him?

Pretty sure that was the point of the trade.I'd offer like - a 5th for Namestnikov if SJS ain't keeping him?
Hopefully better than the Jeannot "heist".JBB about to pull off a heist
He had a great game against the Habs the other day (although that's admittedly all I've seen of him besides our other game in November I don't remember)Damn, I didn't think SJ would give Eyssimont away just yet. I was impressed with him in SJ.
Hopefully we never see him in a sharks jerseyHopefully this is finally the last we see of Namestnikov in Lightning jersey. Completely useless.
Why is that?I dont like Brisebois at all as a GM, but realy owns it for this trade at all aspects. Great job
Why is that?
Did you just not watch Boston in the mid-late 2000s?He was the GM to start to give up bigs for bottom 6 players, then have to struggle with caps problems and dont have young cheap players to take bigger role for less money.
The best part is that he’s actually 30, even if he perpetually gets bodied like he’s younger.Love Vladdy, but as far as being a hockey player i've never seen a 27 year old get himself bodied and beat up out there like he is playing in a dads game quite like he does.
All I can focus on here is - ouch Ducks lmao
No that's exactly what he was on the Jets too.Eyssimont was like a new man when he went to the Sharks. Banging and shooting like an animal. Love this pickup for the Lightning and just like that they've got a bottom 6 ready to compete again.
I didn't think I'd have to stand up for a GM who's team has gone to 3 straight finals appearances, but I guess I'll get up out this chair for a sec....He was the GM to start to give up bigs for bottom 6 players, then have to struggle with caps problems and dont have young cheap players to take bigger role for less money.
That's always been the main issue. Doesn't score well enough to crack a good top-six, and he gets rag-dolled come playoff time. And never really added the strength that might have made him an effective NHLer on a good team.Love Vladdy, but as far as being a hockey player i've never seen a 27 year old get himself bodied and beat up out there like he is playing in a dads game quite like he does.
Namestnikov just didn't fill a role in TB. He was just kind of there.Would have made more sense to me if they didn't give back an NHL roster played. I know it wasn't a full season worth of games here but surly this couldn't be simply to get back a roster player on a team that needs roster players.
I said this when Dallas acquired him 1-3 years ago. HFB people just think they know it all, without ever playing the game. This trade is funny to me because Namestinikov is absolutely worthless.
