Batherson had an expected goals of fifty percent while on he ice. His line was great offensively but made a bunch on D zone mistakes.
Greig , Tkachuk and Giroux were all 90 percent expected goals and above( they dominated)

Korpi didn't have a chance on 2 of the goals, I will have to check the highlights for the other 2 goals.
The first goal screened, the second beautiful 3 way passing play.
The third goal looked like he over committed and lost his positioning way out on the white ice and got tangled up with players.
The fourth was from point blank range...
but 4 goals on 18 shots.....yikes the numbers don't look good, but I don't know if they are indicative of Korpisalo's game today.

It’s a team sport, that doesn’t mean Batherson is to blame because he had an expected goals of fifty percent while on the ice.

Basically, I find that it’s a bad stat when trying to evaluate a player individually, but it can be useful if you’re trying to see the impact of a trio of players or a full 5 man unit

the Vlasic goal, was Chychrun and Stü screwing up not Batherson.

The Lebanc goal he had just stepped on the ice as Greig came off and they scored. He had absolutely nothing to do with it or the play that led to it.

He and I think it was tank combined to miss the clear on the late goal, so I guess you can blame him there

Side note... penalties those team face are nothing compared to small market teams they don't really care about. Does anybody on this planet honestly believe any one of those teams would have lost a 1st round draft pick?

That pair was really good for us earlier in the year.

I thought Batherson, Chabot (maybe a better game in his case) & Zub had good games. You still need to score goals to win it seems.

Jacques Martin & Alfredsson really have made a difference, they are so much worse under them.

It is really disappointing to see the team lose so often and play like shit under the new coaching staff.

A change clearly had to be made .. The changes needed will take time and may need some personnel changes. Its a different vision on how the team has to play. Unfortunately we have not seen much in the way of results or meaningful impact yet.
