IIRC, many of those players, including Crosby and Ovechkin have relatively poor shootout records.

Crosby is the all time leader with 11 game deciding shootout goals and is 5/6 THIS season.

Toews has the highest career shooting % among Team Canada players 10/18.

Ummmm.... Crosby has the second best career shootout percentage* of anybody on Team Canada bro, the most career goals and attempts, and he's something like 5/6 this year. Only Toews has a better record.

[*] Not counting guys with fewer than 5 shootout attempts.

lol as someone else mentioned, Crosby has become one of the best at shootouts over the past 2 seasons.

For team Canada, I would take Crosby, Toews and Ryan Getzlaf.

Pavelski would be USA's first shooter, should he make the team.

Jagr is not good at the shootout and took a lot of flak for not being in the Rangers top 3 many nights...

Gaborik is awful at shootouts percentage wise.... He even said that he overthinks it.

Remember, there are 5 shooters in the IIHF games. There are only 3 in the NHL games as they do an "abbreviated" version of the shootout.

Canada:

Crosby
Toews
Nash
Heatley
Perry

US

Kane
Parise
Kessel
Ryan
J. Johnson

Russia:

Datsyuk
Ovechkin
Kovalchuk
Malkin
Afinogenov

Dunno the others.

Weinhandl and Zetterberg are locks for Sweden. Forsberg is awful.
