Brutal... Re-sign Neil and dump Prince for a pick

They are consistent, you have to give them that.

If the coach won't play him though, might as well send him somewhere he will be given a chance.

Good luck to Shane,I hope he tears it up for the Islanders.

This trade is not a huge deal, people. Step back from the ledge.

Prince probably wasnt going to make the team anytime soon. Maybe not even next year.

Sens traded a guy who had little chance to crack the roster for a draft pick, who is a player who may have a chance later on when there may be openings.

NOT A BIG DEAL! No reason to get all worked up. Prince is not that good.

I'm good with this, he wasn't a fit. Needs to play top six and he wasn't going to be doing that here. Hope he works out in NY.

Yeah you know what, Prince wasn't that impressive in his time here and the other caal ups looked just as good as him. I doubt he would've made the team next year so getting a 3rd for him is alright.

Draft Prince with a 2nd round pick. Watch him develop, possibly even better than expected. Trade him for 3rd round pick.

I'm OK with this. We have a bit of a log jam in his position. He's not that great. We get another roll at the dice with a decent pick. Who knows what we'll get.

People making too big of a deal out of Prince. If he becomes anything more than a bottom six player, than i will be impressed.

Garrioch: "Prince wasn't going to get his chance under Cameron.."

Whatever I guess. Shame we couldn't get Weir or Chiasson out.

Never was a big fan of Prince tbh but why did we do that lol?

I am grumpy so I'll say this, Murray is so boring sometimes...:

He's nice sometimes. Now we'll hear the same thing as every deadline, vote of confidence for the players yadayada

How about moving Cameron out rather than Prince?
Because I'll say that Prince is the one making Neil look like a guy who is worth 1.5M again.

Prince was a mediocre player who we all hope was going to develop well because he played for the 67's.

I'm fine with getting an extra pick and clearing salary really.

It's already been mentioned, but we did get better value for him than Florida got for Pirri, who has played somewhat consistently at an NHL level.

This trade is fine. Doesn't change much.

Watched him in warmup in Calgary. He looked dejected and tuned out.
Trading him was probably the right thing to do. The way he was treated by the coach is a different story though.

He should have made the team next year.

We're just in love with chris neil and alex chiasson.

What do two RWs have to do with trading a LW?

Honestly, I'd have kept him at that return. But, I don't mind moving him to give him a shot (no use in keeping him if our coach refuses to play him) and at least we got a way better deal than what Fla got for Pirri.

I'm kinda surprised that we moved Prince and not Wier though. Wier I don't think we'd qualify, where as Prince, we could easily qualify and then trade him later if need be.
