Sorry to say but they have only 54 games remaining, not 64 as in your count. To get to 98 points they'd need to go 35-16-3. 96 points would most likely also be enough for the playoffs. Considering how bad the Atlantic is they might even sneak in with 92. So 34-17-3 or possibly 32-19-3 in the most optimistic of circumstances. Yay optimism

He wasn't wrong, imo.

Karlsson's recovery from surgery and from lack of off-season training are hurting this team a lot. In terms of roster changes, Duchene for Turris is the only exchange that impacts the team today. Most would expect this to be a minor improvement. Oh, and losing Methot, but that was out of the team's control. The damage to the roster was done years ago, imo... signing Cowen, and trading for Ryan.

I doubt Eugene wants to pay yet another coach to not coach the team. He may still be paying Cameron's contract!

Also, the Sens already have a terrible reputation for firing coaches. I'm no fan of Boucher, but that's got to stop at some point.

I would like to see Boucher make adjustments to the system though. It's clearly broken right now.
