Of the guys I don't usually say this about, Michalek, cowen and chiasson had good games I thought.

I hope Cameron brings Wideman and Prince in tomorrow despite the fact they won tonight.

Put Prince on the 4th line and take Chiasson out.

Pair Wideman with Cowen and Boro with Ceci.

ehh about 1-1.5 mil.

It's pretty difficult to find any comparable forwards at that rate within the Atlantic division who are not on RFA contracts.

Tampa has Boyle @2.0 and Condra @1.2

Toronto has Grabner @3.0 and Komarov @2.9

Boston has Kelly @3.0

Michalek IMO is a clear cut above all those players. 4.0 is reasonable. 3.5 would be great. 3.0 would be a steal.

I'll take Boyle for half the price over Michalek any day of the week.

But I'll admit Michalek had a good game today. Nice option as a pp specialist

Kevin Connauton just told @BobbyMacSports that this is the lowest moment for him since arriving in Columbus.

Apparently this is the straw in Columbus.

They did not expect to see this one go down like this.

I don't know whether to feel insulted. I hear that Pittsburgh will fire their coach if they lose to Ottawa.

We have some pretty damned good players on this team.

Not many big names... We have players starting to make their names.

Wow, such a sloppy game. Waaay too many shots against. A better team will make us pay. This team is back to Maclean ways. The offense though, looks ok.

Michalek has had a great start to the season, doing everything right. I know many here dislike him but I will always be ok with him on this team!

I also agree with your Wideman point, the problem is I don't want to move Cowen with Ceci yet and I don't think Boro's able to. Don't get me started on Weircioch.

We dislike him because he's mediocre and inconsistent, but that doesn't mean I can't give him full props for his great start to this season.

No caveat here, he's been solid and I'm cheering for him to keep it up.

It's not a dig at the Sens, but the Jackets

That's a very negative post after a pretty decent game.

Sure, first period sucked and Andy gave up a couple of weak ones, but Columbus was hungry tonight and we still shut them down halfway through the game and sailed to victory, on the road no less.

I can't bring myself to complain about this game at all.

I get it, but at the same time, clearly we're still the team that is underestimated.

It's good to be under the radar.

They were already on suicide watch after their third loss. GM said the team was devastated etc., so this is just a continuation of their depressive state.

I'm actually surprised at how weak mentally that whole team seems to be. I mean sure, 3(and now 4) losses is bad, but they make it sound like they've lost all hope.

Not looking good for this season!

What's funny is that we were in such a terrible position last year, that 4 losses seems like a drop in the bucket.

It's concerning, but not irrevocable.

How many teams end up 4-6 or 5-5 in a 10 game stretch? A few wins and they're right back in the swing of things.

I think that the first 10 games of the season are the most emotionally charged (until the playoff runs start) because you're anxious to get the season started and losses take a lot of that excitement out of it.

I am happy with win obviously, however when you watch the game and look at all the plays the lead to our goals, CBJ were just shooting themselves in the foot over and over in the D-zone. 3 of their 6 Ds are probably not NHL calibre at this point. Still very glad Ryan and Zib got going tonight, they still look a bit slow out there, but seem to be getting better and better. The HST line is just money right now, I thought Hoff was snake bitten when he could not get one in, but kept hitting posts and goalies making great saves in these 4 games, happy to see him snipe one in finally. BTW, I do not see how he does not score 25 again this year. Stone is just our magic man.

It's not just this game. We are consistently getting out shot 5 on 5. Out chanced as well.

Cowen and Boro were pretty bad today. Even though people are praising Cowen, I thought he had a weak game. He started reverting to his old habits of trying too much and giving the puck away. Boro didn't help. These guys need to be split up.

Kind of a sloppy win imo.

A win is a win though, but hopefully we don't play the same way against the Pens.

Kind of a sloppy win imo.

If the Jackets defense weren't also sloppy and Bob was Bob, the Sens would most likely have lost.

A win is a win though, but we need to not play the same way against the Pens tomorrow. All their firepower is just waiting to explode.

So other teams take advantage of our mistakes and score and we suck.

We take advantage of the other teams mistakes and score and we still suck.

I guess we just suck.

We were facing a desperate team in the first, and managed to get away from it just one goal down. After about the 5 minute mark of the 2nd I thought we were the better team until the end, which for a road game is pretty much all you can ask for.

So while we still need to make some adjustments, it was a big improvement over the first three games. Can't expect everything to get fixed at once.
