and your point? Any game against a rival and any game that is a home opener should be a must win. Pumps you up for the season and gives you a positive head start.

My point? My point is that it is overused and has been used way too many times when it really isn't actually "a MUST win."

Yes, it would be nice to win against a rival, on opening night. But it is in no means a must-win.

It won't have affect on the outcome of the regular season.

Raymond is a LW
Kulemin is a RW

Lupul-Kadri-Kulemin is proven to work
Carter Ashton is a RW

JVR-Bozo-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Kulemin
Raymond-Bolland-Ashton

IMO is the clear way to go for game 1

"Hey Mason, you ever played center?"
"No."

"Think you can?"
"Yes."

"Bozak, you're out."

But that's just me.

Habs think they are all rough and tough with Mr. Pringles in the line up. Lets bring this ****** down a couple notches.

Unfortunately, with a guy like Parros on their team, smurfs are no longer an appropriate description. He's a legit heavyweight, top 10 for sure. Take pride in the fact it was the Leafs who forced their hand after toying with them last year. It's always flattering when somebody makes major changes to keep up with you.

The payoff comes when even though they made revisions, you still beat them down. We'll see what happens.

Parros may be one of the worst skaters in the league, the only time he'll ever not be completely insignificant is when the game is out of hand and Therrien tries to goon it up. And we have the goons to match.

With Murray being out it's even more harder for that soft montreal club to beat us. We have the more talented and more aggressive minded team with lots of power and hitting department. We will win and they will not. We might win every game against the habs this season and with these coaches its going to be pretty easy (Carlyle vs Therien).

Our team looks so much better and stronger physically than that montreal club. Lets see if Carlyle outplays (again) that other coach.

Why is that? they replaced a 4th line tough guy in White with another 4th line tough guy in Parros. Parros is tougher but replacing a tough guy with another tough guy doesn't really do much for their team. He also makes their 4th line worse. Last year they had a legit 4th line that they could give a regular shift and now they can't unless they double shift someone in Parros's place. They still have 3 lines of softness and they added another midget this summer with Briere. If Tinordi plays great and earns a spot where he's playing more than 12-15 minutes a night then the team will be tougher and harder to play against because of that but right now they're essentially the same team that got bullied last season.

Is this serious? Because of one player?

Take a look at their top 9

Briere, Pacioretty, Desharnais (2/3)
Plekanec, Gionta, Borque (2/3)
Galchenyuk, Eller, Gallagher (1/3) (all soft)

D - Gorges, Boullion, Markov etc. All soft

More than one player with grit on that team now.
