Yet another god damn loss in Wisconsin. I'm getting really tired of that.
Well one of the things that led to their demise tonight was taking way too many penalties, very uncharacteristic of this year's Huskies, who've been one of the least penalised teams in the country all season long. I saw the game and it was actually a good game. One interesting thing though, the Badgers PP has really struggled this year and they get two PPGs tonight, go figure.
Nate Dey's effort on the Huskies ony goal was awesome. IMO, one of the few moments in the game where Elliott showed that he was human.
Tomorrow night should see a better effort out of the Huskies, except I don't think the Badgers are going to quietly. They need points in the worst possible way (not that the Huskies don't), so they're going to give it all they've got, but the Huskies have to stop taking so many penalties and getting more traffic in front of Elliott would help too. In tonight's game, I felt that Elliott was being given too many opportunities to see the shots that were coming at him. If the Huskies can get more bodies in front of the Badgers net, they might be able to generate more goals or at the very least some quality scoring opportunities.
