Irrelevant. Liljeren would have come up, and still very well might.guess Barrie is not that bad.
If Barrie misses time, it’ll be Liljegren coming up.
Excited to see Sandin in the WJHC.
Doesn't make sense to send Marincin down today if he was going to suit up tomorrow. There is no cap benefit to doing this. Not necessarily, if Marincin plays (which is still possible even though he was sent down) they may prefer a scrub like Schmaltz to sit in the press box instead of call up Liljeren

I just find it odd that Chris would mention Sandin yesterday in regards to the condition of Barrie, but not Liljegren. If Barrie misses time, it’ll be Liljegren coming up.

He didn't play today, and the Marlies don't play again until Saturday. And then next game after that is Christmas Day.No cap benefit but they may want to give Marincin a run before the put him in an NHL game after sitting out this long

One can only hope. It's time to see what he can do at the highest level.Sweet, maybe Liljeren is coming up, hes the best D on the Marlies so he definitely deserves a call up
Apparently since his injury it was until they found out its not that serious. Sounded like they were bringing Sandin up to the Leafs.Irrelevant. Liljeren would have come up, and still very well might.
Since when is liljegren more ready than Sandin? Not understanding the vibe in this thread. Did people watch training camp and the early parts of the season? Sandin only started struggling based on what appeared to be nerves and too afraid of making mistakes rather than just playing. A large part of that blame has to go to Babcock

We don't judge just based on training camp, we also look at how Lilly has done since then, and he has been great.Since when is liljegren more ready than Sandin? Most media guys have forgotten Liljegren exists. Then you have the extreme side of that with guys like the overdrive crew calling him a bust when they've never watched a Marlies game.I just find it odd that Chris would mention Sandin yesterday in regards to the condition of Barrie, but not Liljegren.
