if the Oilers are picking in the top 5, it would be such as Oiler think to do to trade that for a Reinhart.

I am sure PC would do it, he loves trading for former high picks. Adam Larsson, Reinhardt I and Strome.

He loves trading high picks even more (Hall, Seguin, Kessel, Wheeler, Yakupov) so there's definitely a deal there

Nope. Why trade for an unknown pick that we would be lucky for them to be as good as Reinhart.

He was practically a PPG player for us the 2nd half of the season and is still very young with more room to grow.

Just keep the pick. The top end of this draft is terrific and if we get a guy like Tkachuk....I like that better long term. No to more Reinharts.

We have Nuge---whu would we want Reinhart as well? They are almost the same player with Reinhart being an inch taller

2017/2018
24-24-48 VS 25-25-50
16/17
18-25-43 VS 17-30-47
Reinhart did play 20 more games this year.

But they are very similar.

Not saying it'll happen so relax fans ;) but is the VALUE there? Reinhart had a good season with 25-25-50.
Sam Reinhart screams to me as the type of player that would have his career ruined by the oilers

Sam R is legit, but limited.
Mostly complete except for the wheels.

For that reason, somewhere in 1st round may be okay but only so high.
Swap for D looks more likely if at all.

The perfect scenario would be a team that has a #1 center, a #2 center for one more year, can slot Reinhart as a #3 to play there for a year and move to #2 in the 2020 season and has a defensemen to trade.

difference here is Sam has actually shown something in the NHL, unlike Griffin, so if the Oilers sent their non top 3 pick after the lottery to Buffalo for Sam, it's no near as bad as the Griffin deal was.

not sure if he's worth a top 10 pick in a draft. Not knocking him wouldn't mind him on my team just not worth that price.
