Don’t need to. They are flush with cap.Are they clearing up money for a trade?

What happens if he is not claimed?
Does all of his salary get removed from our cap?
They'll only clear $1.15M of cap if he's sent down to Rochester (and, of course, this is all pro-rated and based on how long he's actually assigned to Rochester and so on)What happens if he is not claimed?

It was almost a completely wasted roster spot for 10 weeks.Ya just gotta shake your head after seeing how this situation - from the contract signing to waivers - has been managed.
Yea we should have had one of the prospects sitting in the press box insteadIt was almost a completely wasted roster spot for 10 weeks.
Yeah...that's EXACTLY what I meant...Yea we should have had one of the prospects sitting in the press box instead
Its how it would have played outYeah...that's EXACTLY what I meant...
How so? Replacing Bryson with a D-man prospect wasn't possible. KA has pretty much in no way tried to waste games for FW prospects by having them sit in the press box on the big club. They either stay in Rochester or play (up to four minutes by Granato's standards). Its how it would have played out
Thats if Strum was available and it a price that KA would pay, the fact he wasnt in on Tatar means he probably wouldnt be in on Strum, you most likely have someone like Rousek or Rosen rotating in and out of the press box.How so? The LOGICAL move would have been to waive Bryson in October and trade for a guy like Sturm. Slot down both Jost and Krebs in starts and/or ice time, and never have to play the revolving door of Biro, Rousek, Rosen, Kulich, Savoie, and Murray for 21 games. Of course that means doing what a GM should have done, not what KA preferred.
Well we're talking a different language. The whole premise of waiving Bryson 10 weeks ago is based on a GM making the proper decisions. You're talking about an if this/then what scenario entirely based on what KA would do...which is probably another mistake based on the ultra-conservative and patient "plan" the organization has committed to.Thats if Strum was available and it a price that KA would pay, the fact he wasnt in on Tatar means he probably wouldnt be in on Strum, you most likely have someone like Rousek or Rosen rotating in and out of the press box.
