What she has done with the 'One Buffalo' marketing campaign has been good, I think she is fine to continue to run marketing for the Bills and Sabres, maybe she can do more for the Sabres than Brandon has done for hockey in WNY like that article said, Brandon prayed on the loyalty and love for the Bills. No matter what the Bills team looks like they will always sell tickets and have butts in the seats. Hockey in WNY is more of a, what are you doing for me now type situation that Brandon never figured out.

Seems like a dangerous line for the NHL to take. If NFL is investigating, there's sure to be a leak on what happened. If it's something bad and the NHL is just like let the team deal with it, bad look for NHL.

If I were the NHL, I just day were looking into it and don't make a move until after the NFL does it's thing.

If whatever the thing was that happened happened with his Bills job and not his Sabres job it's none of the NHL's business.

I'm sure the NFL's "investigation" amounts to little more than a PR statement

Why? If he was removed for being unprofessional that's totally the team's responsibility, if he was bribing IIHF officials then the leagues need to be involved. He was as already already removed from his position, it's not like a suspension will mean anything now.

They're mixed now. It's not a Bills or Sabres thing. It's a One Buffalo thing.

Aside from that, earlier reports suggested that some of the behavior that got Brandon canned occurred in NYC while at the Winter Classic this year.

Presumably he was there in his role as Sabres president.

If the issue was him having relationship(s) with with other members of the staff, then the obvious question is whether the people he was having improper relationships with were Bills, Sabres, or PGSE staff...

And if the NHL asked about it and the answer was that he was let go because he lied about having a relationship with another member of the staff, then I can see why it was pretty cut and dried.

Is this where we place the picture Rudd consoling a despondent, upset Jack after that one game?

Kim Pegula says she stepped in as Bills, Sabres president to bring stability

ATLANTA — Before Kim Pegula assumed the role of president of the Buffalo Bills, Sabres and three other professional sports franchises under the Pegula Sports & Entertainment umbrella, she and her co-owner husband, Terry, considered their options.

One was to hire someone to replace Russ Brandon, who resigned as the company’s managing partner and president on May 1 for what The Buffalo News has reported was due to workplace and personal misconduct. Another was for Kim to carry the title on an interim basis until a full-time replacement was found.

In the end, they decided their flagship sports properties, the Bills and Sabres, had already experienced enough upheaval and they didn’t want to create more by bringing in a new person to head their business operations.

Dismissed Bills, Sabres president Russ Brandon joins New Era...

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Russ Brandon, the former Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres president who was dismissed in May after an internal investigation into workplace behavior and allegations of personal misconduct, has resurfaced at the Buffalo-based New Era Cap headwear company.

Two sources informed The Athletic that Brandon has been added to New Era’s executive team, although his role couldn’t be confirmed. Brandon is listed in the company’s dial-by-name phone directory.

Phoned about the hire Monday night, New Era CEO Chris Koch replied, “I’ve got no comment at this point” and hung up.

I find it very odd that he showed up with the teams biggest sponsor less than 3 months after resigning. I'm curious if its just some consulting work or he's actually an executive.

He's buddies with the CEO. You know how that works.

I hope Kim is more worried about what happens in her business than what happens with other people's business.
Considering that other business has their name plastered in front of hers, it's not like it's going away

Were the speculations of inappropriate but consensual relationship(s) ever validated? If so, perhaps the true hard-hitting question to ask (which means it won't be) is whether Brandon, in his new capacity, is welcome at New Era Field or not, and, if welcome, is his access restricted?
