i think a lot of times are gonna be interested in Hudler come the trade deadline. Is it unrealistic to think we might be able to swing a 1st from Chicago, Florida, or Nashville?

Anything is possible. Anywhere from a 3rd to a Filip Forsberg.
Forget even NJ could be in the mix, they sure as hell need a forward
NJ doesn't seem like they'll mortgage the future for another forward. They may try and sign Hudler in FA however.
I think he will return a 1st from a contender if not more if he is moved. I know some have doubted his value but given how few sellers there are I think Hudler will be highly sought after.
Hiller for a franchise pick (4th rounder). Go go Treliving
Why not aim higher? How about two 4th rounders?
Howard
Kindl
Wideman
Smid
This would get us about $1M cap space for next year. Howard of course is signed until 2019 which can be a good or a bad thing depending on his future play. Anyway, we are definitely closer to beggars than choosers in this goaltending issue and a deal like this is something I'd consider. I don't know if the Wings would have any interest however.
more like:
Howard 50% retained plus Manta for Wideman and Culkin
Even then I think Calgary gets screwed
As nice as it would be for our cap to get Wideman off the books, Howard is not someone I would want to move him for. Howard isn't a solution to our goalie problems and he is signed for longer than Wideman.
I like the Wideman for Bernier deal.
Bernier >>>>>>> Howard based on contract alone.I want no part in Bernier.
